9/11 and football

Football season is my favorite time of year but I have an observation this year and what I think of athletes demonstration of what they think is wrong with American. Now, lets remind ourselves of the money these folks make.  Do we not think they could pick on something besides the flag?

To me (and this is MY opinion) they are disrespecting the very people who lost there lives giving them the right and privilege to play. Just because you do not like what’s going on in this country what give you the right to pick on the grand symbol of this country. There are many ways you can go. Did you get out there on the front lines and about get your ass blown off for your country, no you didn’t. You get paid insane amounts of money to play a sport. You are a professional and represent this country. The very best sports wise. You feel oppressed? You live in a mansion by anyone else’s standards and you make over a million a year and you are oppressed?

So many other things you could do. You could give money, go down and help change the laws or use your voice to call attention to it but the flag is just not the way to do this. Especially on this day September 11^th. Think about it.
