I have to admit, I was very outspoken about her arrest. And
I admit it wasn't good. This took a lot of courage to admit. Many people
including a close relative to me has had drug or alcohol abuse.
I do believe people can change with a lot of work and self
inspection. However she has never admitted that she has an issue let alone do
anything about it. She said she used to be but she wasn't anymore and stood
there and lied to our faces but I digress.
I have a lot of respect for athlete’s
that stand up and take responsibility. I am sure the book will be a good one,
its called "Forward" I applaud her efforts and being a celeb is hard.
Hard road to have your life turned upside by a camera peering into your life
and being good at your chosen field.
Some like Lance
Armstrong wait and lie until it
almost to late to redeem yourself. He wasn't only self destructive he was team
destructive although they all did the plasma transfers. They all knew and
watched the lie grow until there is undisputable truth to compound the lie.
While I applaud him for finally telling the truth he wrecked many people’s
lives in the process. De Nile is not just a river in
Egypt .
Only time will tell about Abby but I think she is off to a
wonderful start. Standing ovation and good luck.
