A talk about guns

Lets be honest here. This is a killing machine and that is what it is used for. It is a military weapon. It is not an assault rifle it is a M4A1 carbine. It should NOT be sold to civilians PERIOD! There is no earthly reason to own one.

Why would you want a weapon to fire 30 shots in a row, non stop. To look cool? Because you can? To kill things into oblivion? I hunt so I need one? 

Honestly I am a gun owner. My guns are not registered (I tried) because our state does not have a registry for guns except handguns which are registered. We live in a very rural area with little police protection and still we do not own or want to own a AK-15. The 15 years we have lived here we have used a weapon maybe 3 times. All were coyote cases chasing and trying to kill livestock. 

I ask people who own or want to own one. Why? Are you a damned poor shot? If you need 30 bullets to hit something then you need to pitch any rifle and get a squirt gun. You have no business owning any firearm. 

Anyone owning a weapon needs to go through a gun safety course and have range practice. You need to know how to clean and maintain your firearms and have the ability to put them in a place they will not fall into hands of children or someone that breaks into your home. 

My husband and I have hunted for 20 years in a group of 15 people and never once have I seen any hunter in the field or in our own party use an AK-15. I do not know anyone who owns one. 

In Canada for instance they are illegal to own. PERIOD! You cannot buy one there. There have been 6 school shooting in the history of Canada. 6! Ever! What does that say to you? 

I had someone say to me this morning that it was just a bunch of faggots that got killed so what, they deserved it for all there sins. I felt instant rage. Who died and made you god. These are people just like you and me no different and if you think so you can take your homophobic ways and go somewhere away from the rest of us. 

I am tried of killings, tired of kids and everyone else getting killed. It needs to stop and the only ones that can stop it is us. THINK about all the families of those killed or wounded. At least 100 lives and families. When I think about it, it was bound to happen sooner or later terrorist or not. Got to stop.
